Took a trip to Prisoners Harbor following the fire works off the coast of Santa Barbara. A cloudy voyage, but we managed to enjoy it anyway.
HUGE grey whale passed by, we stopped and enjoyed him for awhile. Went to shore for a hike and picked some beautiful wild flowers for our table - only to find out from the very nice park ranger with a gun in his holster, that it is illegal to do so - he gave me a warning and let me keep them. He made Jack empty his pockets full of rocks and shells - nothing is to leave the island. We both wanted to stick our heads in the sand - we felt like two criminals appearing before mother nature herself.
